Healthy Nutella Choco spread

Can we even resist this? :)

I admit, sometimes i have the urge to eat chocolate. But i won’t crab something unhealthy. As i know that would be not good for me and i would get addicted to sugar again. So i was thinking of making choco paste for on my sandwich. It’s something different than jam or just butter for breakfast.
I like to switch from Granola to eating bread in the morning.

I did grow up with nasty habits.....don’t we all?
So the best thing to get rid of nasty habits is to make a healthy variation of what we like.
Nutella is very famous but has so much sugar in it. i can feel it on my teeth.....they scratch cause of the sugar inside. This chocolate paste is made with coconut oil and real chocolate who has been sweetened with Stevia.

For the first time i have been making food photos in my studio. yes it has been used for something else than Pin Ups :D
I could not move my kitchen to my studio, but will see how i can fix to get better pictures during cooking too.

50 gr coconut oil
50 gr pure chocolate (86°% cacao)
50 gr Milk chocolate (sweetened with Stevia)
100 gr Hazelnuts (roasted before and skin removed)
100 ml almond milk
1 tablespoon of Honey
Some Stevia drops to sweeten it up (add enough if you like sweet)


1. First of all roast your hazelnuts. I did that some days before, so i only had to make the paste today.
Simply preheat your oven at 170°c. put a backing sheet on your tray and lay the nuts on it. Nicely spreaded. Roast for about 15 minutes. Depending on your oven.
Let cool down a bit and then add the nuts to a clean towel and rub it around. The skin will come loose by itself.

2. Let the nuts cool down and mix them in the blender or food processor. mix till you have some kind of flour.

3. Then add the chocolate to a bowl and heat Au bain marie (which means with hot water under the bowl, so it nicely melts). Do make sure the chocolate does not come in contact with the water. Or it will be ruined. Chocolate and water are enemies.

4. Add the coconut oil and make sure all of the chocolate has melted together with the coconut oil. Do not over rush this, it needs time to gently melt.

5. Set aside, remove the boiling water and use the same pan for heating up the almond milk. Let it come to boil and turn off the heat.

6. Now add everything to the mixed nuts. Also the Honey and stevia.
Mix everything smoothly and it should be nicely creamy.

7. Don’t wait too long to transfer to another jar or pot to store the paste. The more it cools down, the more it will become stiff.
